History of Our Troop
Our troop began January 2000, when there was no other boy scout troop in the area. Cub Scout Pack 143 (chartered by the Fruitland Park Lion's Club) was already meeting at the church on Tuesday evenings, so many of the parents wanted to have a troop meet at the same location. The pastor and scoutmaster went before the church men, who agreed that the troop was necessary. Five boys were initially registered in the newly formed troop, and several more "crossed over" from the pack in April.
